4 Tips to Beat the Heat  

  1. Test the Air Conditioning – When high temperatures hit, you would want a functioning air-conditioning system in your car. Check your car’s air filter and add the required amount of refrigerant to boost your air conditioning system.   
  1. Check Air Pressure in the Tires – Refer to your car’s owner manual to know the recommended tire pressure and check to see if your tires are over or under-inflated. Properly inflated tires could help maximize your vehicle’s gas mileage and help avoid tire blowout and flat tire situations.

  1.  Check all Engine Fluids – Top off the transmission fluid, windshield wiper fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid as they would keep your car’s engine from overheating. You can check the level of these fluids by looking for the indicator lines on the reservoir under the hood.   
  1. Oil and Filter Change – Increase the longevity of your vehicle by conducting regular oil and filter changes. Oil lubricates your engine and keeps it safe from wear and tear while the oil filter removes any contaminants from the car’s engine oil. Remember to change your oil at least once every 5,000 miles.
